Set when your check-in runs

Set when your check-in runs

The schedule controls which days Dailybot sends the check-in, at what time, and in which timezone. Getting this right is what makes an async standup feel effortless instead of noisy.

Before you begin

  • You need Team Manager or Organization Admin permissions to edit a check-in schedule.
  • Decide the rhythm first: daily standups usually run every workday; retrospectives often run weekly.

Set the schedule

  1. Sign in at app.dailybot.com and open Check-ins.
  2. Open your check-in (or create a new one).
  3. Find the Schedule section.
  4. Pick the days of the week the check-in should go out.
  5. Set the send time — when each participant receives the prompt.
  6. Choose the timezone the schedule follows.
  7. Click Save.

How the timezone works

The send time is evaluated against the schedule’s timezone (or each participant’s timezone, depending on your setup). If teammates are spread across regions, per-participant timezones mean everyone gets the prompt at the same local time rather than all at once. If a check-in shows up at an unexpected hour, the timezone setting is almost always the cause — see Check-in arrives at the wrong time.

Work days and time off

Dailybot skips people who are on time off and can respect configured work days, so you do not have to pause the check-in manually. Set these once and the schedule stays clean. See Work days and Time off.
