Choose who takes part in your check-in

Participants are the people Dailybot prompts each round. This guide covers how to add them and what to check when someone is missing.

Before you begin

  • You need Team Manager or Organization Admin permissions to edit participants.
  • The people you add must already be members of your Dailybot organization. If someone is not there yet, invite them first — see Invite people to Dailybot.

Add participants

  1. Sign in at app.dailybot.com and open Check-ins.
  2. Open your check-in (or create a new one).
  3. Find the Participants section.
  4. Add individual people, or add a whole team so new teammates are included automatically.
  5. Click Save.

Individuals vs. teams

  • Add a team when the group is stable and you want membership to stay in sync as people join or leave.
  • Add individuals when you need a specific, hand-picked set that does not match any team.

If a teammate isn’t receiving the check-in

The most common reasons someone is skipped:

  • They aren’t a participant. Confirm they are listed (directly or through a team).
  • They can’t receive DMs from the bot. Dailybot prompts each person in a direct message; if their chat platform blocks the bot, they never see it.
  • They are on time off or a non-work day. Dailybot intentionally skips them until they are back.
