Connect Bitbucket to Dailybot

Connect Bitbucket so Dailybot can react to repository events (commits, pull requests, pipelines) in automations and team notifications.

Before you start

  • You need Org Admin access in Dailybot.
  • You need admin rights on the Bitbucket workspace or project you connect.
  • Know which repositories should send events to Dailybot.

Steps

  1. In Dailybot, open Integrations and select Bitbucket (or start from an automation action that requires Bitbucket and choose Connect).
  2. Authorize Dailybot in Bitbucket when redirected.
  3. Select the workspace and repositories to link.
  4. Configure webhooks or automation rules in Dailybot that listen for the events you care about (merge, PR opened, build failed, etc., depending on available actions).
  5. Run a test event (small PR or commit) and confirm the automation fires in your chat channel.

Troubleshooting

  • No events — Verify the repository is still selected in the integration and that Bitbucket webhooks were not removed during a workspace migration.
  • Reconnect after password or token rotation on the Bitbucket side.
  • Permissions — Repository admins must approve app access for private repos.
