Connect Jira to Dailybot
Link Jira Cloud (or the supported Jira offering shown in your Integrations page) so automations can react to issues and updates.
Before you start
- Org Admin access in Dailybot.
- Jira site admin or permission to authorize third-party apps for your Atlassian site.
- Know your Jira site URL (for example
yourcompany.atlassian.net).
Steps
- Open Integrations in Dailybot and choose Jira.
- Follow the Atlassian authorization flow and grant the scopes Dailybot requests.
- Select the Jira site and projects when prompted.
- Return to Dailybot and confirm the connection status is active.
- In Automations, configure triggers or actions that reference Jira and run a Test.
Verify it works
- Create or update a test issue in a linked project and confirm the automation run log (if your workflow listens to that event).
- Read error text in the automation history — “401” or “forbidden” usually means expired credentials or missing project access.
Common issues
- Wrong site — Multiple Atlassian sites require picking the correct one during OAuth.
- Project not granted — Reauthorize and include the project your team uses.
- Beta label — Some Jira features roll out gradually; if a tile says beta, capabilities may be limited on your plan.
