A member’s reports aren’t appearing in the channel

Quick check

  • Did they respond? — Open the check-in activity or responses view for the day in question. If there is no submission from that person, nothing will appear in the compiled summary for them.
  • Still a participant? — Confirm the member is on the check-in participant list under the same chat identity they use to reply. Duplicate Slack accounts and email-only invites are a frequent source of “missing” people.
  • Delivery timing — Summaries often batch after a deadline or at end of day. If the channel post is intentionally delayed, individual answers may be visible only in the admin view until compile time.
  • Privacy settings — Some templates withhold certain answers from public posts while still recording them for managers. Compare admin-only views with the channel post to see if configuration hides that member’s content by design.

Common causes and fixes

The member has not submitted yet

People confuse the reminder DM with a completed check-in. Check timestamps: if the window is still open, wait or nudge the member. If they thought they answered in a thread instead of the bot DM or modal, their response may not have registered. Ask them to open Dailybot’s prompt again and finish the flow until they see confirmation.

The member was removed from the check-in

Roster edits take effect immediately for new cycles. If they were removed mid-week, later summaries will not include them. Re-add them and verify on the next run. If removal was accidental bulk edit, restore from your change notes or support backup guidance.

Reports compile at end of day

Teams choose compile times to avoid spamming the channel after each single answer. Until compilation, the channel looks quiet while responses accumulate in the dashboard. Adjust the compile schedule if your culture prefers incremental posts — knowing this avoids false escalations.

If none of this worked

Before contacting support, collect:

  • Check-in name and date of the missing entry
  • Affected member’s display name and email or Slack handle
  • Screenshot of the participant list showing that member
  • Screenshot of the admin response view for that day
  • Whether other members appeared in the same summary post
  • Organization name

Then contact Dailybot support from the Help or Contact options in the product or on the website.
