Setting up Dailybot on Google Chat
Install Dailybot from Google Workspace so people in your organization can use it inside Google Chat.
Before you begin
- You need a Google Workspace admin account (or an admin must install or approve the app). Marketplace installs are controlled at the domain level; without admin access, you cannot complete org-wide installation yourself.
Steps
- Sign in to the Google Workspace Marketplace as a Google Workspace administrator (or open Marketplace from the Admin console where your org manages apps).
- Search for Dailybot.
- Open the Dailybot listing and choose Install (or Domain install if you are covering the whole organization).
- Select whether to install for everyone in the domain or for specific organizational units or groups, depending on what your admin workflow allows.
- Confirm any admin prompts to grant the scopes the app requires.
- If your org uses allowlists, ensure Dailybot is allowed for the users who need it.
- In Google Chat, open the chat space or direct-message area where apps appear.
- Find Dailybot in the available apps or message it to open the bot conversation.
- Send a short message or use the app card to confirm Dailybot responds.
What to expect after
Dailybot is available to the users and organizational units you selected. They can open it from Chat and complete onboarding. Some capabilities also use the Dailybot web app at app.dailybot.com for configuration, reporting, and org-wide settings. Propagation across Chat clients can take a short time after install.
