How to invite members from Discord
Invite Discord server members into your Dailybot organization so standups, kudos, and automations run against the same people you already collaborate with in voice and text.
Before you begin
- You need Organization admin or Team manager permissions.
- Dailybot must be added to the Discord server (guild) you are inviting from, with the roles and channel access your team expects.
Steps
- Open the Dailybot web dashboard and log in with the account linked to your Discord server.
- Go to Organization and open Members.
- Click Invite.
- Select Discord as the invite source.
- Choose members from the Discord member list or picker shown for your connected server. If the list is empty, re-check bot permissions and that you selected the correct server in Dailybot.
- Assign a role per person (admin, manager, or member) based on what they should change in Dailybot versus what they only use day to day.
- Send the invitations.
- If someone cannot be added, confirm they share the server with the Dailybot integration and that your organization’s join rules allow their account.
What to expect after
Invitees get a prompt to link Discord to your Dailybot org. That may appear as a DM from Dailybot, a message in a channel, or a browser authorization step. After they finish, they can use Dailybot commands and features in Discord and appear on the Members page.
