Updating your profile and timezone
This article shows you how to update your display name, timezone, and core notification preferences so check-in reminders and reports match how you work.
Before you begin
- Profile changes apply to your user account across workspaces where you are a member.
- Timezone affects when you receive reminders and how your responses are timestamped — it does not change the org-wide default schedule unless you are an admin changing org settings elsewhere.
Steps
- Open Dailybot and go to Settings or Account.
- Open Profile (sometimes labeled My profile or Personal settings).
- Update Display name so teammates recognize you in reports, kudos, and @mentions.
- Open Timezone and pick the city or offset that matches where you usually work.
- Save profile changes if the page has an explicit Save button.
- Open Notifications (or Preferences) in the same settings area or linked from the profile screen.
- Toggle categories you want — for example daily check-in reminders, weekly digests, or product updates — and set quiet hours if the product offers them.
- Confirm any email or chat permission prompts so Dailybot can still reach you on your connected platform.
What to expect after
Reminders and scheduled messages align with your timezone on your next cycle. Display name updates appear in new activity immediately; some cached reports may show the old name until they refresh. If times still look wrong, verify your device clock and org-level schedule — see Check-in personal settings.
