Changing your account email address

This article shows you how to change the email address tied to your Dailybot login and where verification and SSO limits apply.

Before you begin

  • You need access to both your current inbox and the new address — Dailybot sends a confirmation link.
  • If your organization uses SSO (single sign-on), your email may be controlled by your identity provider. In that case, change it in your IdP or ask your IT admin — Dailybot may not allow a manual email change in-app.

Steps

  1. Open Dailybot in the web app or your chat app and go to Settings (or Account).
  2. Open Profile or Account details — the section that shows your current email.
  3. Select Change email (or Edit email).
  4. Enter your new email address and confirm it in the second field if prompted.
  5. Enter your current password if the product asks for re-authentication.
  6. Submit the form. Dailybot sends a verification message to the new address.
  7. Open that email and click the verification link before it expires.
  8. If you do not see the message within a few minutes, check spam and promotions folders, then use Resend verification if available.
  9. After verification, sign out and sign back in using the new email (or your SSO flow) so all sessions pick up the change.

What to expect after

Your login identifier updates to the new email. Invoices and billing notices still go to the billing email on the subscription if that is separate — see Updating your billing email address. If the new address is already registered to another Dailybot account, the product blocks the change until that conflict is resolved (use a different address or contact support with both account details).
