Setting your work days
Work days control which weekdays Dailybot treats as working days for you, which affects when check-in reminders and rounds run.
Configure your work days
- Sign in at app.dailybot.com.
- Open Profile or Personal settings.
- Find Work days, Working schedule, or Check-in availability.
- Toggle each weekday you actually work (e.g., off Sunday—Thursday if you use a different pattern).
- Save.
If you work half days, the product may still treat that weekday as a work day for reminders; mute individual check-ins or use time off for the other half when supported.
Effect on check-in delivery
Check-ins scheduled only on your working days arrive on those days. If Monday’s standup is set for the whole team but you do not work Mondays, your personal work-day setting should suppress Monday prompts for you when the product supports per-user schedules.
If a check-in is tied to a fixed team schedule that ignores personal work days, ask the check-in owner to align the team cadence or use org defaults that match your contract.
Org default vs personal override
| Layer | What it does |
|---|---|
| Organization default | Baseline work week for new members (e.g., Mon—Fri). |
| Personal override | Your profile can narrow or shift days without changing everyone else. |
Admins set org defaults; you adjust your profile when your pattern differs. When both exist, the stricter or more specific rule usually wins for your notifications — if behavior looks wrong, compare your profile to the check-in’s schedule.
New hires inherit the org default until they save personal work days; remind distributed teams to set this during onboarding so standups do not fire on their weekends.
