Configuring your personal timezone and reminder time
Your personal timezone and reminder preferences control when you get nudges for check-ins. They do not replace the check-in’s org-level schedule, but they align that schedule to your local day.
Before you begin
- You need a Dailybot account linked to your organization.
- Use the web dashboard for these steps; chat commands may not expose every option.
Steps
- Sign in at app.dailybot.com.
- Open your Profile or Account settings from the user menu (avatar or name).
- Find Timezone (or Regional settings). Select the timezone that matches where you work most days.
- Save. This overrides the organization default for reminder delivery to you when Dailybot supports per-user timezone.
- Open Notifications (or Preferences / Check-ins subsection) in the same settings area.
- Set your preferred reminder time if the product offers a personal offset or quiet-hours-friendly window. Pick a time you are usually online.
- Toggle email, chat DM, or mobile notification channels according to how you want reminders. Leave at least one channel on if you rely on Dailybot prompts.
- Save changes and, if available, use Send test notification to confirm delivery.
What your settings affect
| Setting | Effect |
|---|---|
| Personal timezone | Maps org schedules to your local clock |
| Reminder time / prefs | When and how Dailybot pings you for open check-ins |
| Channel toggles | Which surfaces can receive alerts |
Administrators still set when the check-in runs for the team and when reports post. Your settings mainly prevent reminders from firing at the wrong local hour.
What to expect after
The next scheduled check-in should arrive closer to your working hours. If you still see mismatches, confirm the check-in owner has the correct check-in timezone and that you are a listed participant.
