I lost access to my Dailybot account
Quick check
- Password reset — On the Dailybot sign-in page, use Forgot password with the email you believe is on the account. Complete the reset link from your inbox before it expires.
- SSO path — If you never used a password, sign in with Google, Microsoft, or Sign in with Slack (whichever your team uses). Use the same identity you used when you first joined.
- Org admin — Ask a workspace or Dailybot org admin to confirm you are still an active member, not deactivated, and that your email on the roster matches what you type at login.
- Alternate email — If you have two work emails, try the other one on the sign-in form before assuming the account is gone.
Common causes and fixes
Forgotten password
Password reset is the fastest fix when email login is enabled. If you do not receive the email, read I need to change my account email address for delivery troubleshooting. After reset, store the password in your team-approved vault. If your org disabled password login in favor of SSO, use the SSO button instead — reset will not apply.
SSO provider removed your access
When Google, Microsoft, or Slack suspends the user or removes them from the workspace, Dailybot login fails even if the Dailybot account still exists. Restore access with your IT or Slack admin first. Once your identity works again, Dailybot sign-in usually succeeds without a separate Dailybot action. If your company migrated everyone to a new IdP, you may need to link the new identity — coordinate with an org admin.
Account deactivated by an admin
Org admins can deactivate members for offboarding or policy reasons. You will not be able to sign in until an admin reactivates you or invites you under a supported identity. If you believe this was a mistake, contact your internal admin with your work email and Slack handle. Dailybot support can confirm account status only when you prove ownership through the normal support process.
If none of this worked
Before contacting support, collect:
- Every email and SSO method you tried
- Your chat platform and workspace name (if applicable)
- Whether an admin recently changed your role or offboarded you
- Screenshots or exact wording of the error
- Organization name as your team calls it in Dailybot
- Whether you still need access for work or are fully offboarding
Then contact Dailybot support from the Help or Contact options in the product or on the website. Be prepared to verify identity out of band if the account holds sensitive org data.
