How to invite members from Microsoft Teams

How to invite members from Microsoft Teams

Pull people from your Microsoft 365 tenant into Dailybot so membership stays aligned with Teams — fewer duplicate accounts and clearer admin control. Use this flow when your company standardizes on Microsoft accounts for chat and identity.

Before you begin

  • You need Organization admin or Team manager permissions.
  • The Dailybot Teams app must be installed and consented for your tenant, and your Dailybot account should be the one tied to that Teams connection.

Steps

  1. Sign in to the Dailybot web dashboard.
  2. Open Organization, then Members.
  3. Click Invite.
  4. Choose Microsoft Teams (or Microsoft 365) as the source.
  5. Select users from the directory picker. Results typically reflect who your IT admin exposes to the app.
  6. Set each person’s role: org admin for full control, team manager for scoped leadership, member for day-to-day use.
  7. Confirm the invite list and send.
  8. For missing users, check that they are licensed for Teams, that the Dailybot app is allowed for them, and that your org’s join policy (open, approval, or domain rules) permits their sign-in email.

What to expect after

Teammates receive an invitation that connects their Microsoft identity to your Dailybot organization. They may see activity in Teams, a browser step, or email — depending on configuration. After acceptance, they can use Dailybot inside Teams and show up under Members with the role you assigned.
